Medical Training and Expertise in Special Populations

Welcome to Greene Strength Lab, where science meets compassion in fitness. Jess is a Certified Special Population Specialist (CSPS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She aims to provide individualized, science-based training for individuals facing unique health challenges or significant physical limitations.

What are Special Populations?

  • Cancer Survivors: During and post-treatment, focusing on regaining energy, strength, and mobility.

  • Cardiac Patients: Including individuals recovering from heart attacks, surgeries, or managing chronic heart conditions.

  • Orthopedic Recovery: Those with joint replacements, severe injuries, or chronic conditions like osteoarthritis.

  • Neurological Disorders: Such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, strokes, or traumatic brain injuries.

  • Chronic Pain Conditions: Including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and other persistent pain-related issues.

  • Amputees and Paralysis: Individuals requiring adaptive training to maintain strength and function.

  • Obesity and Weight Management: For safe, sustainable weight loss and improved health markers.

  • Diabetes Management: Both Type 1 and Type 2, focusing on glucose control through exercise.

  • Respiratory Conditions: Such as COPD, asthma, or other lung-related health concerns.

  • Pregnancy and Postpartum Recovery: High-risk pregnancies, prenatal fitness, and post-childbirth recovery.

  • Older Adults: Addressing balance, strength, fall prevention, and functional independence.

  • Post-Surgical Recovery: For a range of surgeries, including orthopedic, abdominal, or bariatric.

  • Chronic Illnesses: Such as autoimmune diseases, kidney disease, or other long-term conditions.

  • Mental Health Challenges: Incorporating physical activity to support those with anxiety, depression, or PTSD.

  • Athletes with Disabilities: Tailored training for competitive or recreational athletes with physical challenges.

  • Youth with Developmental Challenges: Including autism spectrum disorders or physical impairments.

Make the most of your money by investing in your health.

We are HSA/FSA eligible!

If you're interested in saving money and using your HSA/FSA funds toward a Greene Strength Lab service, you will simply click the button below to take the Truemed survey. This partnership allows Truemed to determine your eligibility and help you obtain a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN). After you're qualified, you will use your LMN to be reimbursed from your HSA/FSA provider. The Truemed service is a one-time fee of $30. If they are unable to help you obtain reimbursement, they will refund you their processing fee.
